Dec. 4: 605 Made Holiday Market

Shop handcrafted merchandise from 50 local makers from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the underground parking garage of Cherapa Place at this seasonal pop-up organized by Knotty Gnome Variety & Salvage and SiouxFalls.Business. Click here to follow the event.

Dec. 4: Great Bear Ski and Snowboard Swap

Need some new skiing and snowboarding gear? Have some you need to get rid of? Great Bear Ski Valley is hosting a ski and snowboard swap event  for a chance to buy and sell used items.

The sale will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and there will be a 20 percent commission on gear to support the Great Bear Ski Patrol. Items must be pre-registered at greatbearpark.com, and a full list of accepted items also is posted on the site.

Dec. 4: Cookies and cocoa with Santa

Santa Claus has been at The Empire Mall for a few weeks now, but Saturday you’ll be able to sit with Santa and enjoy free cookies and hot cocoa from 2 to 3 p.m. The Empire Mall is recommending that visitors wishing to take pictures with Santa book in advance, which can be completed here.

Dec. 4: Tinsel & Tails Holiday Craft & Bake Sale

The Sioux Falls Area Humane Society will have a Tinsel & Tails craft and bake sale to raise funds. Baked goods and homemade items will be available, all which have been donated by members of the community. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society classroom.

Dec. 4: Trails & Tails

Get you and your dog outside for exercise with Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation. Trails & Tails will take place at Great Bear Recreation Park from 10 to 11 a.m.

The event is meant for dogs and humans that can hike for about an hour on uneven terrain. Registration is required in advance and is free. You can register by clicking here. 

Dec. 5: Hartford Hometown Christmas

Can’t get enough of holiday lights? Hartford is hosting its very own light celebration as a part of Hometown Christmas. The theme this year is Twinkling Lights and Frosty Nights. The celebration will feature Santa and Mrs. Claus, a craft show, a gingerbread house competition, a parade of lights and all-day activities for the entire family to enjoy. Get details here.
