Get ready for a one-day change for dropping off and picking up passengers at the Sioux Falls Regional Airport.
Construction is starting on the new skyway that will connect the parking garage to the terminal. A detour will start at 8 a.m. Thursday and end that evening at 6 p.m.
Traffic will be pushed through the completed first-floor section of the parking garage. Here’s a look at the detour:
Construction on the skyway will not affect current parking guidelines. Parking in the long-term lot is available and limited to 67 percent of normal capacity. Short-term parking is still unavailable. Travelers are advised to use the economy parking lot to the south, where the airport is providing a continuous shuttling service.
The four-level parking structure will add about 975 spaces for the airport. It’s scheduled to be done in October.
