Park Madness returns for second year of bracket-style competition
It’s time to show some love for your favorite Sioux Falls parks.
The city’s Park Madness competition is back for a second season, pitting 64 parks — including the city recreation trail — up for public votes.
Last year’s champion, Tuthill Park, is back for a second year to defend the title.

The city’s Parks & Recreation Department held a Parks Madness draft and seeded parks based on:
- Attendance data: Which parks do you visit the most.
- Unique amenities: Who has the best playgrounds, basketball courts and pools.
- Wildlife and nature: Which spots have the best trees and river views.
- Beauty: Which parks are the most beautiful for a family photo.
You can vote beginning Sunday online or with a paper bracket that can be picked up at Midco Aquatic Center, Jacobson Plaza or Westside Recreation Center.
The winning park will receive a 2026 championship sign to display at its entrance.
