Amazing things happen in our schools every day — if you know where to look! Do you know some school news others would love? Let us know at [email protected].

What a great tradition from the CTE Academy! Each year, the CTE culinary students prepare and serve the Elementary Immersion Center students their first Thanksgiving meal in the U.S.! New flavors, new traditions and new friendships — way to go, student chefs!

A couple of wild turkeys were spotted around Sioux Falls Lutheran School right before Thanksgiving.

RISE students at George McGovern Middle School prepared and served a holiday lunch for staff and students last week.

First graders from St. Michael Elementary had their annual “NovemBEAR” parade last week — a fun school tradition.

The Tri-Valley Education Association was hard at work last week making 37 blankets for Angel Tree families.

The Sioux Falls Skyforce visited Lowell Elementary to share a message about following your dreams and working hard to achieve your goals.

Sioux Falls Skyforce players and coaches teamed up with students at Fred Assam Elementary to leave notes on lockers to help spread positivity and kindness throughout the school.

And check out everything Fred Assam collected for the Brandon Food Pantry.

Way to go, St. Lambert Elementary singers! They performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a recent Sioux Falls Stampede game.

And St. Lambert delivered for the hungry, too, with this generous donation for Feeding South Dakota.
