Construction season is winding down, but we’re still offering our weekly look at what projects are done, where you’ll find traffic impacts and what’s scheduled next.

What’s done

Bike trail: After a reconstruction project, the bike trail reopened Thursday between Madison and Maple streets near Elmwood Golf Course.

What’s underway

Arrowhead Parkway: Arrowhead Parkway between Veterans Parkway and Willow Run Golf Course reopened to one lane of traffic in each direction Friday.

This project will not be fully complete until next summer.

Marion Road: Marion Road between Foundation Court and the Crooks/Renner Road is expected to reopen to traffic sometime this week.

41st & Sycamore: The project at 41st Street and Sycamore Avenue had its final major concrete pour last week.

The contractor is working on finishing up the pavement surfacing, sidewalks and medians. This project is still on track to be completed by mid- to late November.

60th Street North: 60th Street North between Westport and Minnesota avenues is expected to reopen to traffic by the end of the week.

Russell Street: The two outside westbound lanes and the two outside eastbound lanes on Russell Street between Kiwanis and Louise avenues closed on Tuesday to allow construction crews to make repairs the bridges.

This work is expected to be complete in about three weeks.

11th Street: The far right eastbound lane on 11th Street closed just east of Minnesota Avenue on Wednesday to allow crews to perform water main and pavement repairs. As part of this work, the northbound right turn lane on Minnesota at 11th also is closed. This work should be completed by the middle or end of this week.

69th Street: The outside eastbound lane on 69th Street closed east of Tallgrass Avenue on Wednesday to allow crews to construct a new right turn lane. This work is expected to be complete in about three weeks.

Bike trail: The bike trail north of 26th Street and west of Interstate 29 closed Friday to allow city crews to perform work in this area. The bike trail is expected to reopen in this area Tuesday.

What’s next

18th Street: Beginning today, 18th Street will be closed between Dakota and Main avenues to allow crews to access rooftop units with a crane. This work is expected to be complete by the end of the day.

Arrowhead Parkway: Beginning today, the outside westbound lane and right turn lane on Arrowhead Parkway will be closed east of Foss Avenue to allow crews to pave a parking lot.  This work is expected to be complete in about one week.

Interstate 29: Beginning on Tuesday, survey crews will be working on Interstate 29 at the 12th Street bridge. Lane closures will be in place on the northbound lanes of I-29 on Tuesday and Wednesday. Lane closures are planned for the southbound lanes of I-29 on Thursday and Nov. 1. All lane closures are scheduled between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Ramp closures also will be necessary to complete the survey work. It is anticipated that the I-29 northbound 12th Street on-ramp will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday. It also is anticipated that the I-29 southbound Madison Street on-ramp and 12th Street off-ramp will be closed Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
