Road Report: Nov. 14, 2022

Construction season is winding down, but we’re still offering our weekly look at what projects are done, where you’ll find traffic impacts and what’s scheduled next.

What’s done

North Minnesota Avenue: All lanes on Minnesota Avenue between Russell and Second streets are now open to traffic!

Temporary street lighting is in place for the winter. Next spring, decorative lighting and street elements will be installed, but impacts to traffic should be minimal.

West 41st Street: All lanes on 41st Street west of Interstate 29 are now open to traffic!

Work will resume on the I-29 interchange and 41st Street east of I-29 next spring.

What’s underway

South Minnesota Avenue: Good news farther south on Minnesota Avenue too. Sidewalk work along the west side of Minnesota between 37th and 41st streets is complete. All lanes on Minnesota Avenue are open.

41st & Sycamore: Work at 41st Street and Sycamore Avenue is expected to be complete late this week or early the following week.

South Marion Road: The outside northbound lane on Marion Road is closed between 32nd and 39th streets. Xcel Energy is working on power poles and lines along the east side of Marion. This work is expected to be complete in two to three weeks.
