SculptureWalk sets new record for 2024 season
More than 80 new sculptures are waiting for visitors downtown and beyond.
The 2024 SculptureWalk was installed over the weekend and features more than 80 pieces — a record for the event that began 21 years ago.
âBringing art to the people is our pride and mission,â Andrew Eitreim, SculptureWalk board chair, said in a statement. âAs we unveil our 2024 exhibition, we reaffirm our dedication to enriching our community through accessible, inspiring public art. Join us in celebrating the beauty and creativity that enriches our city.â
Start your viewing at the SculptureWalk Visitor Center on the second floor of the Washington Pavilion at 301 S. Main Ave.
The route is focused along Phillips Avenue, extends over to the East Bank along Eighth Street, passes under the iconic Arc of Dreams, extends down Phillips to Second Street near Falls Park, heads south again and concludes in front of the Pavilion to make a complete loop. Seven sculptures also are on display in the Cathedral Historic District along Duluth Avenue between Sixth and 10th streets.

Most sculptures were placed over the weekend, with a handful remaining to be installed this week.
Curated by a blind jury comprised of local dignitaries and art enthusiasts, the sculptures are loaned by the artists, and the public has the chance to vote for their favorite.
New this year, SculptureWalk Sioux Falls also has a revamped website at SculptureWalkSiouxFalls.com offering a more immersive experience with additional information about the sculptures.
