Imagine starting each day with more freedom, more choices and more time for what you love – all in an upscale senior living community designed especially for you.

At Good Samaritan – Founder’s Crossing, our thoughtfully planned spaces will provide all that and more.

“We want residents to feel at home first and foremost, but with a lot of great social connection,” said Brent Wollenburg, AIA, LEED AP, partner at RDG Planning & Design and one of the architects who helped design the nearly 100-acre campus.

Designed for connection

You’ll appreciate this first-of-its-kind campus, envisioned by individuals from Good Samaritan and Sanford Health and carried out by Wollenburg and the RDG team.

Their aim: to keep you socially connected so you can thrive.

“Social connection is critical to humans, from little kids to older adults. Everybody needs it, and I think it becomes even more important as modern life and routines make it all too easy for us to isolate from one another,” Wollenburg said.

You can spend time outside with your dog, stopping by the dog park to let them cut loose while getting to know other pet owners.

If gardening is your passion, go dig in the dirt while chatting with new friends at the community garden.

And if golf is your thing, hone your skills with other enthusiasts at the outdoor putting green or the indoor golf simulator.

Lifestyle centered on wellness

You’ll find several areas of Founder’s Crossing that help you stay active and fit.

“From a wellness standpoint, access to the outdoors is a big component,” Wollenburg said. “We also tried to utilize some of the natural features of the site for residents to enjoy.”

You can meet up with a walking buddy on the outdoor paths to soak up the sun, enjoy nature and experience the beauty of campus.

You’ll also be able to use the fitness and therapy courtyard, where you can gain strength at the exercise stations.

Imagine fun rounds of pickleball with family and friends at the indoor courts.

If an afternoon by the water is more your style, stop by the indoor pool for a few laps and relax in the sauna afterward.

For those times you might be recovering after a surgery or need health care support at home, there are home-based services right on campus.

Thoughtful innovation

You’ll be a short walk or golf cart ride from Sanford Clinic and Lewis Drug, which will be connected to the main building. You’ll also find appointments, prescriptions and even dialysis close at hand – no traffic, no hassle.

Innovative technology will enhance everyday living on campus, with a mobile app to keep residents and families connected, and smart mowers to quietly handle outdoor yard work.

“The kitchen is state-of-the-art – not only the equipment that’s in it but how it operates. A great culinary plan was important,” Wollenburg said.

A place designed for your future

With so many living options on campus, you’ll find services and amenities that suit your needs for whatever stage of life you’re in.

“Founder’s Crossing was specifically designed to create a place where seniors could thrive and live with purpose and dignity,” Wollenburg said.

Play your cards right, and start enjoying a more fulfilling retirement.
