Coming this summer: Sioux Falls Taco Fest

A traveling taco and margarita festival will make a stop in Sioux Falls this summer.
The Sioux Falls Taco Fest is organized by AZ Food Festival International, which started doing bar crawls but shifted to outdoor food and drink festivals because of the pandemic.
“We’re excited to bring this experience out to the area,” president Adam Dobres said.
It will be held Aug. 28 at Bigs Bar, 3110 W. 12th St.
The national tour starts May 1 in Fargo — they’re hopeful the weather cooperates — and it’s free for those 12 and younger. It’s $10 for those 13 and older and $35 for a VIP package that includes two margaritas, two tacos and a T-shirt.

The vendor list is being finalized, but “we’re anticipating over a dozen different kinds of tacos and about eight different kinds of margaritas on top of other kinds of food and drink available,” Dobres said.
Taco Fest will have traveling national food vendors, and organizers are looking to work with locals too.
There will be a stage for live music.
