Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools Foundation launches Tuesdays 4 Teachers campaign

Throughout November, the Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools Foundation is hosting its annual Tuesdays 4 Teachers effort, which raises funds to benefit key teacher and staff salary endowments.

 The teachers at Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools provide their students with both knowledge and faith in ways that will nourish them for years to come. Thanks in part to these dedicated teachers, Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools students continually outperform the city, state and nation on standardized tests.

Providing competitive compensation to teachers and staff allows Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools to recruit and retain world-class educators. A gift to the sixth annual Tuesdays 4 Teachers effort helps ensure future generations of Knights will receive the best quality, Christ-centered education.

The community also is encouraged to eat out to help out. If you skip the kitchen and eat out or place an order to go on each Tuesday in November at one of the partner restaurants, those restaurants will donate a portion of their sales back to the Tuesdays 4 Teachers campaign.

Nov. 7

Chick-fil-A (Empire Place): 4005 W. 41st St.

4 to 8 p.m.

Panchero’s Mexican Grill: 4824 S. Louise Ave. and 1503 W. 41st St.

Both locations 5 to 8 p.m.

“Growing our teacher and staff salary endowments is our No. 1 priority at the Foundation. Tuesdays 4 Teachers is a fun way for the entire Bishop O’Gorman community to help us do more for our valued educators and hardworking staff members,” said Nicole Bruning, executive director of the Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools Foundation. 

In addition, thanks to four generous families, all contributions will be matched up to $65,000 through Giving Tuesday on Nov. 28.
