Apartments on the Move: From east to west, look inside new apartments ready for move-in

From one corner of Sioux Falls to the other, new apartments are ready for residents this summer.

Our latest edition of Apartments on the Move takes you inside a dozen places that are ready or almost ready for you to move in this summer.

On the east side, a multifaceted community is taking shape at 26th Street and Six Mile Road.

Split Rock Village offers more than 100 apartments already, plus townhomes ahead, as well as a full amenities package with an outdoor pool and golf simulator.

“There’s a big draw to the east side with Dawley Farms and everything over here, something brand-new, and the space is amazing,” said Donya Hoscheid, regional sales manager for property manager Lloyd Cos.

“We have studios up to three-bedrooms, the townhouses are coming, so we’re going to have a unique floor plan for everybody.”

On the west side, University Hills Village near Marion Road and 60th Street North has grown to more than 600 apartments with a new building that just opened.

The property offers a huge amenity package, with community space for fitness in the new building. The entire community can use a large amenities building that includes an indoor pool, basketball court and multisport simulator along with a massive courtyard that includes pickleball, sand volleyball, bocce and putt-putt.

“We’re not downtown, but at the same time, we have our own little village, so it’s all about community out here,” said Destiny Southern of property manager Dynamic Services.

“For the new building, we have studios, one- and two-bedrooms, all available from the fourth floor all the way down to the first floor.”
