July 24: Nature trivia
Test your knowledge of nature at a trivia night at Good Earth State Park at Blood Run, 26924 480th Ave. The program is designed for those age 8 and older. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. Register your team at 605-213-1036. It starts at 7 p.m. Friday.

July 24: The 1270s
For the first time, The 1270s will perform at Phil’s Pub, 106 S. Indiana Ave. The band, two Mitchell-area firefighters and a Sioux Falls native, perform rock ‘n’ roll from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. The show is from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday.

July 25: Take a shot
Learn the basics of archery in an open house at the Game, Fish & Parks Outdoor Campus at Sertoma Park, 4500 S. Oxbow Ave. All equipment will be provided. It’s open to all ages, but children must be with an adult. Hours are 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

July 25: Vintage Fest
605 Antiques will sponsor South Dakota Vintage Fest from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at 3201 S. Shirley Ave. More than 30 local vendors will offer vintage clothing, streetwear, sneakers, hats, jewelry, home decor and collectibles. Local food trucks will be on the scene, and there will be music throughout the afternoon. Admission is free.

July 25: Fun on the farm
Farmer Braun’s Farm, 28173 466th Ave., south of Lennox, will offer a Farm Family Fun Night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Visitors can meet Babydoll sheep, hair sheep, Nigerian dwarf goats, a mini Highland calf and Sammy the lamb. Scooter the horse will be available for petting and grooming. Children’s admission of $10 — or $11 via Venmo — includes a ride on the barrel train and an animal-feed cookie to share with the critters. There will be a playset, outdoor play kitchen, sandbox, soccer nets, outdoor Jenga and yard games. The food truck 4:13 Proteins will sell cold treats. Admission for adults is $5, or $6 through Venmo.

July 26: Beginning aerials
Dance and spin in the air with aerial hoop classes at South Dakota Aerial & Arts, 1200 E. Third St. A taped metal hope will be used to teach aerial dances and sequences that will challenge strength and mobility. The class, from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, is designed for those age 16 and older. You can register here.
