Oct. 25-27: Halloween activities
Halloween activities are coming to a boil like a witch’s brew in a cauldron. Here are a few coming up:
- Grandma Lu’s Hallow, 913 W. 36th St., will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday with a free interactive haunt for all ages. Tour the haunted nursery, find hidden Halloween objects, take a selfie in a shed of haunted dolls, visit the 15-foot-tall toddler Mongo and more. It also will be open Saturday and Oct. 31.

- Sioux Falls Parks & Recreation will host a Not So Scary Trail or Treat from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at McKennan Park. Visit local businesses along the park path for treats, games, a photo shoot and crafts while listening to Halloween music. Furry friends can visit the separate Woof or Treat Trail. Apple cider and hot cocoa will be served. No registration is required.

- Get spooky for charity at the 2024 Sioux Falls Zombie Walk on Saturday. Purchase your Zombie Walk button from noon to 2 p.m., get your zombie makeup done by a volunteer, then walk the streets in search of brains! There’s also a costume contest with prizes, “Thriller” dance mob and discounts and specials at downtown establishments. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Sioux Falls Roller Dollz and The Compass Center. Check out the details at siouxfallszombiewalk.com.
