YMCA Apartments was designed from repurposing a portion of the historic YMCA building, creating one-of-a-kind living spaces that connect directly to the YMCA gym and fitness center itself.

The location

YMCA Apartments is located at 230 S. Minnesota Ave., close to lots of places to work, public transportation and neighborhood schools.

“This property has an incredible location downtown, within walking distance to so many great restaurants, shops and bars,” said Cody Darley, property manager in training. “It’s extremely difficult right now to find availability downtown, especially at affordable prices.”

The apartments

The YMCA currently has two two-bedroom apartments available.

“We also have one-, three- and four-bedrooms in the building, but they rent quickly, so people should contact our office for updated availability,” Darley said.

The apartments themselves all feature large windows that bring in lots of natural lights and beautiful views of downtown.

“The building has a great historic feeling to it, and some of the units even include flooring that was once basketball courts of the old YMCA gym,” Darley said. “We are also anticipating giving the property some modernized decor upgrades in the near future.”

The amenities

YMCA Apartments features a great community room, available to residents for everything from birthday parties to baby showers.

“And because we’re attached to the YMCA itself, you do not have to go far to get to the gym. There are great fitness options for all ages, plus excellent programming for kids through the Downtown Community Youth Center.”
