Apartments on the Move: From downtown lofts to new neighborhoods, fall brings new living options

Rarely has there been a better time to be looking for a new apartment in and around Sioux Falls.

This fall brings newly built apartments, from downtown to emerging neighborhoods in every corner of the city and beyond.

Our latest edition of Apartments on the Move will take you inside 15 apartments ready or almost ready for you to move in.

First, we’ll show you the completed Dakota Flats in downtown Sioux Falls — now ready for residents at Cherapa Place, with all its amenities completed.

“It’s like nothing you’ll see in Sioux Falls,” property manager Abby Johnson of Pendar Properties said. “The attention to detail and the design alone is like nothing else, and it really takes being in the space to realize the quality that was put into these buildings.”

Then, we’ll take you to the southeast side, where The Rowe, a popular community filled with amenities, has added a new building with floor plans that haven’t been offered previously.

“They’re really amazing. You’ll be blown away,” property manger Jeremy Jenkins of Lloyd Cos. said.

“We’ve had a lot of people come out and take tours. They’re just stunning. Once you get in them, they really sell themselves.”

And finally, we’ll give you a first look at downtown’s latest option for loft living, the One2, which is starting to work with residents planning for an early 2025 move.

It’s located on the south end of downtown and includes a large raised courtyard, top-floor community room and fitness center.

“We love this area,” said Ivy Stenzel of Lloyd Cos.

“There’s a ton of local businesses that are up-and-coming in this area, and there’s easy access in and out of downtown — super-close to the hospitals and not far from the colleges — so it’s a really cool area to be developing.”
