4 new things to eat this week

This version of avocado toast is filled with flavor. Zooks Coffee Bar in Tea has added Bougie Avocado Toast to the food menu. It starts with a slice of Breadico sourdough bread and is topped with smashed avocado, bacon bits, everything bagel seasoning, parmesan cheese and sriracha.

The new food truck Taverns + Tots features sandwiches more similar to loose meat Made-Rites than a sloppy joe. This version is perfect for fall: The Pretzel & Beer Cheese Tavern features seasoned ground beef with beer cheese sauce served on a Bavarian soft pretzel bun. Olive Garden sent its ravioli to the next level with bacon. Ravioli Carbonara is cheese ravioli baked in a creamy sauce with bacon, topped with a blend of Italian cheese.

Seasonal fall doughnuts have returned at Flyboy Donuts. Traditional apple cider and pumpkin varieties are back, but the new Caramel Apple Pie Donut is the showstopper. It’s a glazed doughnut split in half and coated in cinnamon and sugar. The filling is whipped cream, apple pie filling, crunchy pie crumble and caramel drizzle.
