4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Taste summer in a bowl at Bread & Circus Sandwich Kitchen. This year’s Heirloom Tomato Salad features local heirlooms, fried black beans and esquites, which is roasted local sweet corn, jalapenos, queso fresco and cilantro aioli. It’s topped with local cilantro microgreens. “Available now until the tomatoes are gone.”

Smoked brisket is on the menu for a limited time at Pita Pit. The salad version includes shredded lettuce, grilled flame-roasted corn, grilled onions, tomatoes, cilantro and barbecue sauce. The star, of course, is the brisket, which is U.S. ranch-raised beef that has been naturally hardwood smoked with no artificial liquid smoke, MSG, allergens or preservatives.

Papa Woody’s Wood Fired Pizza has a new pizza. The Honey Badger is a staff collaboration and is sweet and spicy, co-owner Lisa Esser said. It has the restaurant’s new 911 hot wing sauce, mozzarella cheese, Andouille sausage, spicy pepperoni, diced red pepper, red onion, crushed Takis chips and a drizzle of hot honey.

Oh My Cupcakes is celebrating International Dog Day on Friday with packs of puppy-face cupcakes that you’ll need to order in advance. Each pack includes six standard-sized pooches. Order the 2022 Dog Days of Summer Six-Pack online.
