4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you.

Here are our top four new things to eat this week.

This is about as South Dakota as it gets: All-you-can-eat beef chislic. Coming to you on Monday nights courtesy of Crack’d Pot Restaurant. It comes with fries, Texas toast, homemade BBQ or ranch dressing AND the soup and salad bar. And it’s $14. Yes, you read that right. It’s available from 5 to 8 p.m.

Hard to believe we don’t see this dish more — but nice work to Abelardo’s for coming up with it. Buffalo chicken fries are the newest addition to its menu.

Overtime Grill & Bar has added a weekend brunch menu that includes entrees, a buffet and a bloody mary and mimosa bar. Some of the buffet items might change from week to week, but here’s a look at last weekend’s offerings.

And finally, dessert. We had lots of delicious options this week but went with Chef Ellen’s Girl Scout cookie cheesecakes. Chef Ellen Doerr is building a reputation for her cheesecake offerings at her prepared-food kitchen at 69th and Western. Each week this month, she’s featuring two cookie flavors. Through Saturday, customers can find Trefoils and Tagalongs cheesecakes. March 8-13 is Samoas and S’mores, March 15-20 is Thin Mints and Do-si-dos, and March 22-27 is Lemon-Ups and gluten-free Toffee-Tastic.
