4 new things to eat this week
We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you.
Here are our top four new things to eat this week.
Parker’s Bistro just added some new menu items, and we’re tempted to include all of them, but let’s start with this creation: empanadas, a pastry crust filled with beef barbacoa, green olives, potatoes and verde cream sauce.
Look’s Marketplace has an extensive pizza menu, but there’s also a pie of the month. The special creation for February is Spiro the Greek. It’s made with a lamb and beef blend, olive oil, mozzarella, feta, onions, tomatoes, olives, fresh oregano and, of course, house-made tzatziki.
And speaking of specials, do we have any everything bagel fans out there? Then don’t miss the Everything Hook & Ladder at Firehouse Subs. This limited-time sub is served on an everything bagel-seasoned sub roll with Philadelphia cream cheese, smoked turkey breast, Virginia honey ham, Monterey Jack, lettuce, tomato, onion and deli mustard.
Speaking of “fire,” (above), there’s a new appetizer at Urban Chislic that’s a must-try if you like food with a lot of heat. The Sting Ring is a towering order of spicy onion rings loaded with Bone Dust and Reaper rubs and served with ranch and Rack sauces. They’re a seasonal item, so get there soon. Fun fact: The Sting Ring was named by Guy Fieri when he tried them while taping “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.” And be prepared to have some company — the restaurant is still at least twice as busy every day since appearing on the show.
