4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

The Sure Shot at The Smoked Culture BBQ & Brews won February’s Southside Slamwich competition, and you can still try it this month while supplies last. Smoked brisket is piled on a toasted ciabatta bun with smoked jalapeno cream cheese, raspberry barbecue sauce, dressed arugula and house-pickled onions.

The winner of last month’s Sioux Empire Pizza Battle also will be on the menu at Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar through March. The Avenger is four pizzas in one. Thor has hot honey sauce, sausage, jalapenos and a sweet heat drizzle. Hulk is pesto, spinach, mozzarella, green peppers and broccoli. Moon Knight is creamy chicken alfredo, and Iron Man is pepperoni, sausage, banana peppers and mozzarella.

The Barrel House has several new menu items. Our pick is Smoked Brisket Nachos. House-cut tortilla chips are fried and loaded with smoked brisket, queso, house-pickled jalapenos and red onions, fire-roasted smoked salsa, cotija cheese, chipotle crema and fresh cilantro.

The newest Asada Bowl at Puerto Vallarta features shrimp served over rice and whole beans. It’s topped with pico de gallo, avocado slices and sour cream.
