4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Totally Rad Eats has been open now for almost a month at Fernson Downtown. The new food concept led by Beau Vondra, Fernson Brewing Co.’s new director of food and beverage operations, features a menu that, of course, pairs well with beer. Our pick is the Bell Diablo. It’s a double-patty smashburger with New School American, esquites, Fritos, pickled jalapenos, pickled onions and Diablo aioli on a Big Marty bun. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day except for Monday.

A longtime Brandon bar and grill has reopened with new owners and a new menu. Try 212 The Boiling Point’s Totchos, which are an order of tater tots smothered in nacho cheese with bacon, diced onion, diced jalapeno and shredded cheddar cheese. It opens at 3 p.m. daily.

Starting as a food truck and now a restaurant, Rosy’s Tacos serves a full menu of Mexican favorites. It specializes in birria, the slow-cooked shredded beef that’s full of flavor. Our pick is Quesabirria, which is a corn tortilla filled with birria and cheese that spends a little time on the grill. The taco is finished with fresh onion and cilantro and served with consome for dipping. Rosy’s Tacos at 2305 W. Madison St. is open daily.

For something sweet, try the Cookies N Cream Smashed Donut at the new Yonutz. A glazed doughnut is sliced in half, filled with cookies ‘n cream ice cream, hot-pressed, cut in half again and topped with vanilla drizzle and chunks of Oreo and Chips Ahoy cookies. The bakery at 2802 W. 41st St. is open daily.
