4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Escape to the tropics with a stop at the new food truck 605 Island Guy. The Island BBQ Mix Plate provides a great way to try several offerings. It’s loaded with Samoan barbecue chicken, Korean beef ribs, kalua pork, macaroni salad and coconut lime rice. Find the schedule for July on Facebook, including three outings in Sioux Falls this week.

Chick-fil-A’s featured sandwich for summer is sweet and spicy. The Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich is a lemon-herb marinated boneless breast of chicken that’s grilled and served on a maple-flavored brioche bun with pepper jack cheese, green leaf lettuce, bacon tossed in a brown sugar and black pepper blend, and sweet-and-spicy pickles. Peach Milkshakes are back on the menu too for a limited time.

Looking for a refreshing drink to beat the heat? Juice Stop is featuring the Watermelon Cooler. Pineapple and raspberry sherbet are blended with watermelon juice and lemonade. Strawberry popping boba add another burst of flavor.

It’s Shark Week on Discovery Channel, and Sugar Palace by Emily in Harrisburg is celebrating with fun shark cupcakes that are available through Saturday.
