4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Jacky’s Burrito Express has opened in the former Fuddruckers space at 3101 W. 41st St., and if you haven’t tried Pollo en Crema at one of the other locations, now’s the time. It’s chicken served in a cream sauce with peppers, carrots and onions. The dish is served with rice, beans and corn or flour tortillas, and diners can chose other toppings at the condiment bar.

The new Gibs Sports Bar & Grill in the former Cherry Creek Grill space at 3104 E. 26th St. features Chef David Ohayon, who owned Papa’s Pub & Eatery in Dell Rapids. Some of his signature dishes are included on the menu for the sports bar, which is the east-side version of the west-side Gateway Bar & Grill. The Dirty Bird is his Cajun chicken pasta recipe.

The new Margherita Flatbread at Dave & Buster’s satisfies a lot of senses. The crust is topped with rustic marinara, five-cheese blend, grape tomato bruschetta, whipped ricotta and fresh basil.

The May specials at Crave American Kitchen & Sushi Bar include a trio of mini desserts. You can have one, two or all three: French Silk with light and dark chocolate mousse layered with cookie crumbs and topped with fresh whipped cream; Berries & Cream with layers of nilla wafer, whipped cream and a puree of strawberry, blueberry and blackberry; and Tiramisu, an espresso-soaked cake layered with mascarpone cream and finished with a dusting of cocoa.
