We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Here’s a great test of the notion that a flatbread can serve as a canvas for any dinnertime favorite. This month, both locations of Tinners Public House are featuring Chicken & Waffles Flatbread. It starts with a base of cinnamon, sugar and butter on the crust and is topped with pepper jack cheese, fried chicken, bacon and Belgian waffle pieces. A side of maple syrup completes the creation.

La Playita Mexican Seafood has added La Charolita, or The Tray. It’s filled with mango habanero ceviche and seasoned boiled shrimp, two prepared oysters topped with ceviche, and an oyster shot, along with slices of avocado and cucumber.

New menu items have arrived at Dahlia Kitchen + Bar. Our pick is Empanadas. Two pastry pockets are filled with a choice of birria, shrimp, carnitas, chicken or roasted vegetable and fried.

The featured dessert at Chef Lance’s on Phillips for May is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake. Peanut butter cheesecake is topped with whipped cream and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
