The paid event listing is sponsored by Amy Stockberger Real Estate.

An upcoming event is designed to help you decide if a career in real estate is the right fit for you.

A new-agent seminar will be hosted by Amy Stockberger Real Estate, 610 W. 49th St., at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30.

Hosted by vice president of sales Griffin Zieske, it will cover many of the common questions people have while thinking about becoming a real estate agent.

“It’s open to anyone and definitely tailored for people not yet in the business but who have some interest in it,” Zieske said.

Topics covered will include:

  • What are the hours or what is a Realtor’s day like?
  • What skills do I need?
  • How do I become an agent?
  • What brokerage/team should I join?
  • What support should I be looking for?

“We’re truly looking to connect with people who enjoy helping and serving other people,” Zieske said. “They must be coachable and willing to get a tad bit out of their comfort zone to grow.”

While 2023 brought its challenges for the industry, “rates are coming down, inventory is picking up, and spring is right around the corner,” he continued. “It’s a great time to consider a career in real estate, and we have systems and strategies in place that help new agents take off.”
