The Week Ahead is our hand-picked event guide to the next seven days in Sioux Falls and slightly beyond. For guaranteed placement or to promote your event ahead of time, email jodi@siouxfalls.business about a featured event listing.

For this week, we’re going with all things green and bringing you our guide to channeling your inner Irish.

March 13:

Start the day with Green Eggs, Kegs & More at TommyJacks Pub. It runs until noon, and you can show your skills with a Lucky Charms eating contest at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The downtown pub crawl starts at 1 p.m. with free trolley rides. Happy hour runs until 7 p.m.

Make sure your morning stop includes Blarney Stone Pub downtown. Opening at 8 a.m., guests receive a free green beer with any breakfast entree until 2 p.m. Discounted appetizers and drinks will be available from 9 p.m. to close.

Looking for Irish fare? Tinner’s Public House will serve corned beef hash starting at 9 a.m. Corned beef and cabbage will be available after 11 a.m. Enjoy green beer or specials on Guinness pints, Jameson shots and Irish Car Bombs.

The 17th annual Fife & Drum Corps St. Patty’s Day Bash will be held at the El Riad Shrine in downtown Sioux Falls starting at 1 p.m. Shamrock Shootout beer pong starts at 2 p.m.

Bottomless beer and mimosas start at 2 p.m. at DaDa Gastropub. It’s $20 and runs until close — or the supplies run out. Drink specials include $5 for an Irish Car Bomb, Guinness or Jameson, plus $1 green jello shots. There will be indoor and outdoor activities.

Maybe it’s a step toward PAve bringing back lunch? The kitchen opens at 11 a.m. March 13, plus drink specials and music all day.

March 13 and 17:  McNally’s Irish Pub

Bring the kids to McNally’s Irish Pub on Saturday morning, where you can do a family breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. with kids’ activities, face painting, games and prizes. The Sioux Falls Shrine Oriental Band plays at 10 a.m., and the bagpipes will be playing at noon. Enjoy special menus for breakfast and lunch/dinner both days. S. Patrick’s Day also includes bagpipes at noon and live music in the evening.

March 13 and 17: Shenanigans Sports Bar & Grill
Stop by Saturday and come back when it’s officially St. Patrick’s Day with two days of fun. Green eggs and ham will be served from 8 1o 11 a.m. with plenty of live music and no cover. That was the scene a year ago: Those were the days, right?
