June 3: The Lot Art Show
Check out local art at DaDa Gastropub every first Friday this summer at The Lot Art Show. Named after the location in which it will take place – the parking lot of DaDa at 402 N. Main Ave. – the show will be open to the public and suitable for all ages. All DaDa regular food and drink items will be available for sale. The show will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Any artists who are interested in selling their work can sign up here.

June 3: Artist Reception and Talk at La Luna
La Luna Cafe is hosting an artist reception and talk for the latest pieces of work that it’s displaying. Titled “Biblical Birds and Botanicals,” Emilie Ann Nettinga’s 10 pieces of work were created entirely from eggshells and will be available to view Friday evening. At 7 p.m., Nettinga will talk about her art and answer questions. Live music also will be played, beginning at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. La Luna is at 701 N. Phillips Ave.

June 3: Ten: A celebration of 10 years on Phillips Avenue
Celebrate with Vishnu Bunny Tattoo and Piercing as it marks 10 years on Phillips Avenue. Hosted with Third Eye Gallery, Vishnu Bunny will host 10 artists who have been a part of the shop’s journey, including Cassidy Cleland, Lacey Eidem, Mike Fleming and more. DJ Sadie Soul will perform, and beer will be available for sale. The event will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Vishnu Bunny, 202 S. Phillips Ave.

June 3: June Eastbank Block Party
The first Eastbank Block Party of the year will take place Friday, and a variety of food, vendors and entertainers will be a great way to kick off the summer. Ollies, Backyard BBQ, The SDSU Ice Cream Truck and others will be serving food. Performers include Jack Simpson, Back Alley and Beautiful Kingdom. There also will be yard games for kids. The block party will take place from 5 to 11 p.m. in the 8th & Railroad Center parking lot.

June 4-5: Siouxland Renaissance Festival
The annual Siouxland Renaissance Festival will be Saturday and Sunday at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. Expect all the usual fun activities, events and food, and popular shows like jousting and mermaids. June 5: Good Earth Summer Concert Series
Enjoy the great outdoors and quality entertainment every Sunday this summer at the Good Earth Summer Concert Series. On June 5, the performer will be Amy Ellsworth, who has spent more than 20 years in rock bands and now performs her own solo covers. The Windy City Bites food truck will sell food. The concert will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. and is free, but a park entrance fee is required.
