Dec. 20: Holiday market
Sanctuary Goods, 421 N. Phillips Ave. inside the Jones421 Building, will host its first holiday market from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. It will feature local makers and vendors, a gift-wrapping station, typewritten custom vintage Christmas cards, a photo booth and food and drinks.

Dec. 20: SantaCon
Sioux Falls SantaCon returns for another year of holiday merriment in downtown Sioux Falls bars, pubs and clubs. The event will start at 3 p.m. Saturday and include stops at PAve, THe Hello Hi, Club David, Wileys and Icon Event Hall. Live music featuring I Know Right and Sleigher will start at 8 p.m. at Icon.

Dec. 20: Ugly sweaters

Dec. 23: Lego building
Choo choo! Children age 6 and older can build a free Lego holiday train at Scheels , 2101 W. 41st St., on Tuesday. A ticket for each child can be reserved by clicking here. An adult must stay at the event while their child participates. It will begin at noon.

Dec. 23: Book club
The Curiosity Collective Book Club will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Alchemy House, 5001 E. Grant St. It is hosted by Alexis Meyer along with Chelsey Preuss. You can expect a complimentary drink to sip while you settle in, a chance to share what you’re currently reading and a group discussion to highlight favorite quotes, ideas and insights. You can purchase tickets here.

Dec. 24: Dirty Santa
It’s Tuesday night, so it’s house band Heinous performing at the DaDa Gastropub, 402 N. Main Ave. But it’s also Christmas Eve eve, so Heinous will jam from 7 to 9 p.m., and there also will be a Dirty Santa — aka white elephant gift exchange. Bring a gift worth at least $15 and you’ll get a free pitcher of beer while supplies last and take home a gift.
