A travel-blogging couple is sharing a look at their summer trip to Sioux Falls — and we bet you’ll enjoy going along for the ride.

Matt and Natalie Houston are based in Nashville but are making it a goal to travel to all 50 states in one year.

Experience Sioux Falls — formerly the Sioux Falls Convention & Visitors Bureau — hosted the couple last August.

They posted their video on their YouTube channel, Adventures of Matt and Nat, and it already has been viewed more than 30,000 times. Add to that their more than 300,000 Instagram followers, and it’s some nice exposure for our city!

It was their first time in South Dakota, and they stayed at Hotel on Phillips downtown.

“We are honestly blown away with it,” Matt says in the video.

They  toured SculptureWalk for its changing collection of art and pointed out the State Theatre.

“You guys know I love my teas, and they have a tea shop,” Nat says, walking into The Spice & Tea Exchange.

“It was good, very refreshing,” she says, sampling an iced tea.

“This downtown is so cute. We are really enjoying it.”

Their dining included Phillips Avenue Diner and Minervas, which we won’t spoil so you can see what they ordered and how they reacted.

But inside CH Patisserie, they compared the signature macarons to ones they last tried in Paris.

“That is a textbook macaron, exactly what it’s supposed to be,” Matt says.

Nat agreed.

“They have beautiful desserts here. Five thumbs up.”

While a hot air balloon tour was derailed because of wind — shocking, right? — they ended up at Strawbale Winery and gave rave reviews.

Other stops included Falls Park and The Treasury.

“We didn’t really have an expectations, and they really surpassed them,” Nat says. “It was so much fun. We can’t wait to come back to South Dakota to explore more.”
