“We are so excited for this year’s lineup,” said Nancy Halverson, president and CEO of Levitt at the Falls. “Our team works year-round to thoughtfully plan each season, bringing together a diverse mix of top-quality performers. From returning favorites to incredible new acts, every artist shares our mission to build community through music.”
Concerts will begin with an opening act at 7 p.m., followed by a headliner at approximately 7:45 p.m. Food vendors will be on-site, and beverages will be available through partner JJ’s Wine & Spirits. Family series performances will start at 10:30 a.m. on select Saturdays.
All concerts also will be livestreamed on Levitt at the Falls’ Facebook and YouTube pages.
The free concert series is supported by community donors and sponsors, including presenting sponsor MarketBeat.
“We’re excited to continue our partnership with Levitt at the Falls and help bring another unforgettable summer of free live music to Sioux Falls,” said Matt Paulson, founder and CEO of MarketBeat. “There’s nothing better than seeing the lawn packed with families, friends and neighbors all season long.”
Opening night will feature Davina & The Vagabonds, a two-time Grammy-nominated jazz and blues group from Minneapolis making its third appearance at the Levitt Shell. The season will close with Chicago-based reggae band Gizzae, a six-piece ensemble that includes multiple Grammy-winning artists.
Additional highlights include saxophonist Grace Kelly, who will perform June 12 as part of a residency in Sioux Falls from June 8-12 that includes community outreach events. Lee Rocker, Grammy-nominated bassist for the Stray Cats, will perform June 19.
Artists featured on the television show “The Road” also will appear, including Britnee Kellogg on June 13 and Cassidy Daniels on Aug. 7.
Three special events are planned this summer, including two tied to the nationwide America 250 commemoration.
The That Sounds Decent Festival returns June 27, beginning at 5 p.m., with local and regional bands, food trucks, a pop-up skate park and a headlining performance by Night Moves.
During the Fourth of July weekend, Levitt will highlight American music with performances by Navy Band Northwest on July 2, East of Westreville on July 3 and Andrea Ross & Her Big Band on July 4.
The All My Relatives Festival also will return for its fourth year in partnership with South Dakota State University’s Wokini Initiative. The event is part of the Smithsonian’s “Of the People: Festival of Festivals,” a national America 250 initiative.
The festival will feature performances, fashion, storytelling and activities highlighting Indigenous culture, including a co-headlining performance by Mato Wayuhi and Tia Wood.
The Levitt Shell is located at 504 N. Phillips Ave. Levitt at the Falls is a nonprofit organization focused on building community through free live music and is part of a national network of Levitt venues.
