At the concession stand. At your favorite coffee shop. At the gas station.

Wherever you choose to spend, there’s an innovative debit card that turns your everyday purchases into support for local schools.

If you want to make your money matter, here’s what you need to know about First National Bank’s Community Card program.

Community Cards have provided local schools with thousands of dollars

Since 2012, First National Bank has given back more than $370,000 to local schools.

There are 15 schools on the roster, covering all of Sioux Falls and many of the surrounding towns.

The Brandon Valley School District remains the top earner with more than $100,000 through the program.

They’ve made a difference in the lives of students, teachers and parents

Thanks to the Community Card program, local schools have been able to do things like:

  • Provide books for a summer reading program.
  • Give every student a free spirit T-shirt.
  • Support their athletics programs.
  • And so much more!

It’s easy to add a Community Card to your wallet

If you have a checking account with First National Bank, then you’re ready to go. If you don’t have one yet, find yours here!

Next, call up your banker, or stop by one of the bank’s convenient locations to ask for a Community Card.

Once you have your card and are ready to spend, simply choose the “credit” option for each purchase. First National Bank will donate a portion of the purchase amount to the school on your card.

Make your money matter

Whether you’re a Sioux Falls Lincoln Patriot, a West Central Trojan, a Flandreau Flier or a fan of another Community Card school, you can make a difference for local students.

Watch the short video below to learn more about First National Bank’s commitment to community, and let us know when you’re ready for your new card.
