4 things to eat this week: The Super Bowl edition
Look, we can debate Pat Mahomes versus Tom Brady all day, but we all know the real winner of Super Bowl Sunday: the snack table.
We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you.
This week, we took a look at local offerings for your Super Bowl spread. And make sure to plan ahead. All four of these eateries encourage customers to pre-order.
We’ll start with the classics. Fernson Downtown is offering a wings special for the game. Get 20 wings and a 32-ounce crowler for $27 at the taproom. Sauces include Nashville Hot Dry Rub, House IQ BBQ, Buffalo (hot), Korean BBQ or just plain wings.
If you’re looking for a healthy snack option, Sanaa’s 8th Street Gourmet has appetizer platters with bread and six options for spreads. Choose one or all of the spread options for $5.75 each.
Options include hummus, avocado hummus, spicy hummus, olive tapenade, cranberry spread and feta with oregano spread. Order before Friday morning.Â
Pizza Cheeks is getting in on the Super Bowl fun. The new downtown pizza joint is offering pre-orders for pickup. The restaurant is advising for orders to be placed as soon as possible because there are limited spots available.
To satisfy any game-day sweet-tooth needs, check out Frosted Goodness Cookies. They’ve got detailed decorations, including a Pat Mahomes cookie that looks like a cute cartoon version of the Kansas City Chief’s quarterback.
Cookies are $50 for a dozen with limited availability.
