Check out new ‘welcome bus’
The mayor might have had the first photo op, but we’re guessing many others will be snapping this new backdrop too.

A Sioux Area Metro bus has been covered in a vinyl advertising wrap from Experience Sioux Falls with a message to welcome visitors, generate awareness of the visitor industry and remind the community to explore right here at home.
“As the official destination marketing organization for Sioux Falls, we are excited that this opportunity became available to us,” said Teri Schmidt, executive director for Experience Sioux Falls. “The more we can extend a warm welcome to visitors the more likely they will return and share their experience with friends and family.”
It’s a good way to reach people — statistics from All Over Media found more than 95 percent of Americans are reached by media targeting vehicle drivers and passengers.
You’ll also see two interstate billboards welcoming visitors on I-90 driving in from the east and on I-29 driving in from the south.
