Apartments on the Move: Downtown lofts lead off new options for summer

It’s time for an inside look at some of the newest places to live in Sioux Falls.

In our latest edition of Apartments on the Move, we’ll take you to multiple downtown apartment communities filled with amenities and moving in new residents this summer.

The Clark opened at Cherapa Place in May and steadily has gained interest from new tenants.

Residents here will live directly above the future Pomegranate Market. The building offers studio, one-, two- and two-bedroom-with-den lofts.

“We are open. We just moved the first tenants in May 1. They’re loving it — the quality of the building, the sense of community is all coming together with the roof decks,” property manager Abby Johnson said. “And, of course, the downtown atmosphere you can’t beat.”

The District Lofts is preparing for new residents in the weeks ahead at The Steel District, where some lofts overlook Falls Park and others offer a bird’s-eye view of Levitt at the Falls.

The model apartment is done, showing a two-bedroom option, though there are studios and one-bedrooms too.

“It’s so exciting now,”  property manager Megan Pederson said. “People can really see what finishes look like and how the space will feel.”

And if downtown living isn’t for you, there are new and existing options for apartments across Sioux Falls.

On the east side, The Current is a brand-new community at Dawley Farm Village within a fast walk of the new Active Generations.

It offers new floor plans, including town home-style living.

“This is really new,” property manager Abdul Mustafa said. “We’ve got from studios all the way to two-bedroom-plus-den, which works perfect for an office space.”
