Active Generations has started a partnership with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, or OLLI, at the University of South Dakota.

The relationship will bring exclusive discounted learning opportunities to Active Generations members.

OLLI offers short-term, not-for-credit classes designed to foster lifelong learning for individuals 50 and older, who can attend classes during the day on weekdays.

The programs are designed to provide an opportunity for members to explore new topics, expand their horizons and connect with like-minded individuals.

Through the partnership, Active Generations members can participate in OLLI programs at reduced rates:

  • $80 per semester — a $20 discount.
  • $150 per year — a $30 discount.

“Active Generations is committed to fostering growth, learning and connection for our 3,000-plus members,” said Betsy Schuster, president and CEO. “This partnership with OLLI reflects our mission by providing enriching opportunities for our members to stay curious and engaged through lifelong learning.” Active Generations members can obtain an exclusive discount code at the front desk to enroll in OLLI programs. Course details and schedules will be shared through the AG and OLLI communication channels.

“This is a great new cooperative effort,” said Thea Miller Ryan, director of OLLI. “It just makes sense to have two of the best senior outreach programs in the region work together.”
