Picture your days pursuing the passions that make you uniquely you. Start your morning with a peaceful painting session in the art room, spend time after lunch tending to your garden, or join neighbors for a group knitting session.

Your next chapter can be your best one yet at Good Samaritan – Founder’s Crossing, where each day will bring new opportunities for creativity and connection.

“We want the people who live and work at Founder’s Crossing to truly feel like it’s a vibrant community,” said DeeAndra Sandgren, chief nursing officer for Good Samaritan and one of the leaders who helped plan the nearly 100-acre campus.

Design your days

When you become part of Founder’s Crossing, you can design your days any way you’d like.

You’ll be able to find several arts and crafts spaces with the perfect places to color, paint, knit, crochet and more. And a woodshop will give you opportunities to build whatever sparks your interest.

Our friendly staff members will be there to help you discover activities that match your passions. They’ll also guide you as you explore our offerings, meet your neighbors and connect at your own pace.

“We’ll have space to set up where residents can have beautiful views from so many different inspiring angles,” Sandgren said.

Connect with neighbors

You’ll also be able to find endless opportunities to cultivate relationships with others in common spaces, four-season rooms and outdoor recreation areas.

“The software we’re integrating, Go Icon, will connect people to whatever activities are going on. You’ll be able to put out a message that you’d like to have a cribbage club or any other type of club,” Sandgren said.

You also can fuel your creative side with events on campus and outings in and around town.

“We’ll be able to bring in really wonderful artists,” Sandgren said. “We’ll also have shuttle buses to take people to things like the symphony.”

Relax into your surroundings

The Founder’s Crossing campus will pair convenience with community. With a Sanford Health clinic and a Lewis Drug location planned on-site, essential care and products will always be close by when you need them.

“We really wanted to make sure we could meet any need someone would have,” Sandgren said. “I think it creates convenience that people will really appreciate.”

Welcoming family and friends to campus also will be easy when there are so many spaces and activities to share. See a movie, join a cooking class or get out in nature with your own garden space.

“The campus and the things people will plant will be beautiful,” Sandgren said. “Being outside feels so good. It’s good for the soul. And, of course, homegrown vegetables are great for everybody.”

Whether you’ve been craftsy your whole life or you’re exploring a new hobby, a maintenance-free lifestyle will allow your creativity to thrive.

“I’m most proud of the intention behind the design. There are elements that flow from independent living all the way through every level of care,” Sandgren said. “It’s going to be such a wonderful place for everyone.”
