Former MTV “Teen Mom” Chelsea DeBoer and her husband, Cole, are bringing a new home renovation and design show to HGTV.

The working title is “Farmhouse Fabulous,” and the show has been approved for six hourlong episodes to start next spring, according to multiple entertainment media organizations.

“Chelsea and Cole are spirited young entrepreneurs breaking ground in the home renovation business,” Betsy Ayala, senior vice president of programming and production at HGTV, said in a statement. “We’ll showcase their optimism and youthful creativity throughout the series, and we’re sure their 8.6 million Instagram followers will love every minute of it!”

The couple built what they described as their “dream farmhouse in Sioux Falls” a few years ago and realized “we have a real knack for design and home reno, and it’s evolved into our passion,” Cole DeBoer said in a statement, adding he brings construction expertise while his wife focuses on design. She launched a home goods line called Aubrey Says in 2020.

Chelsea DeBoer, formerly Chelsea Houska, appeared in MTV’s “Teen Mom 2” series when she was a senior in high school in Vermillion in 2011. She and DeBoer met while working on the MTV documentary in 2014.

“We have been working hard behind the scenes and cannot wait to get started renovating and designing homes for other couples in our area,” she said in an Instagram post announcing the series. “Cole and I loved the process of designing our own home so much, so this has been a dream come true.”

RTR Media, which is producing the series for HGTV, put out a casting call for people remodeling their homes in Sioux Falls in recent months, so there’s potential some local homes could be featured.
