4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

We’re loving that Sioux Falls has so many new ethnic restaurants. La India Taina Puerto Rican restaurant opened in March, and the mother-daughter duo of Johanna and Harianys De Jesus recently added a new menu item. La Jartera is a cup filled with mofongo, arroz con gandules and one pincho chicken or pork, with two pieces of bread and any Coca-Cola product. It’s available Fridays and Saturdays.

Summer is the time for BLT sandwiches, and Watecha Bowl has a great twist. The restaurant’s version uses your choice of buffalo or beef bacon with lettuce and tomato on fry bread.

The August burger of the month for Lupulin Brewing Co. from neighboring Ruby Tuesday is the Taco Burger. It’s a half-pound burger patty seasoned with Tajin, topped with queso, hot buffalo sauce, olives, pico and a handful of tortilla chips on a brioche bun. It comes with a side of french fries or tots. Order it by phone, and get it delivered to your table.

Speaking of monthly specials, sign us up for this pizza at Look’s Marketplace. The harvest is here, and you’ll find it in the Summer Veggie: Classic red sauce, mozzarella, ricotta cheese, summer squash, basil, sweet corn, fresh tomatoes, balsamic drizzle, smoked salt and shaved pecorino cheese.
