4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Saturday is the only day of the week you’ll find this new breakfast item at the new location for The Cookie Jar Eatery. Breakfast Pizza features a flatbread crust topped with sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, ham and cheese. On Saturdays, The Cookie Jar, now at 101 S. Reid St., serves breakfast all day. Hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Look’s Marketplace is capitalizing on sweet corn season with its version of elotes — a Mexican street food. Charred local sweet corn is topped with crema, ground Parmesan, cilantro and a chili spice blend. Enjoy it as a side dish or meal of its own.

Chick-fil-A has a new sandwich for a limited time. The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich is the original filet and bun with a drizzle of honey, pickled jalapenos and a pimento cheese spread.

Every season brings a different twist to what The Cake Lady calls Cake Lady Crack. For fall, the batch has Corn Chex, popcorn and mixed nuts baked in a housemade caramel sauce. After that, half of it is mixed with cranberries and melted white chocolate, and the other half is mixed with cranberries and M&Ms. The final step is combining it all together. Get it in 4-cup or gallon sizes.
