4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig int o the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

If you love loaded fries, stop by the Phillips Avenue Diner this month. The Fiesta de Primavera menu includes Fajita Fries. They’re loaded with carne, green pepper, grilled onions, cilantro lime sour cream and jalapeno nacho cheese.

The new monthly feature at Camille’s Sidewalk Cafe is the Spring Artichoke Panini. It’s grilled chicken breast with pesto mayo, artichoke hearts, red peppers, spinach, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

La Plaza Fiesta Mexican Restaurant has added quesabirria tacos to the menu. Get three slow-cooked beef tacos on fried taco shells with melted cheese, cilantro and onion. It comes with consome for dipping.

Here’s a BLT with a twist. Tavern 180 has created the Baja BLT. It has jalapeno bacon with avocado, lettuce, tomato and housemade chipotle mayo served on toasted sourdough.

Looking for an authentic treat to celebrate Cinco de Mayo? El Chamoy, the Mexican ice cream shop that opened at 523 W. 10th St. in February makes Bionico. It’s a fruit platter with strawberry, banana, papaya, cantelope, pineapple and apple with housemade cream, granola, almonds, raisins and coconut.
