Where to find downtown Sioux Falls — in Legos
Brick by Lego brick, a well-known segment of Phillips Avenue now exists in Lego form.
You can find it in the back of Zandbroz Variety after owner Jeff Danz discovered the piece when a friend sent him a photo of it from this fall’s SiouxperCon event. It replicates the west side of Phillips between 10th and 11th streets.
“I thought it was so well done, and they nailed Zandbroz. Then, I tracked the makers down. It took a little while … (but) they were happy to have another opportunity to show it.”
South Dakota Lego Users Group members who rendered the creation are Tanner Reuland, Jennifer Akers, Matt Hall, Josh Nilson, Eric Duchossois, Mark Streff and Andrew Wilen.
For those who know their downtown architecture, the Boyce-Greeley Building is a bit short– but more Lego bricks are on the way.
The display will be up at Zandbroz, 209 S. Phillips Ave., through December.
