Tuthill Park will close the sledding hill for the season next week.

Construction will start on a new combined restroom and maintenance building at Upper Tuthill Park and removing the existing restroom and maintenance buildings.

The sledding hill is being closed for the remainder of the season “to facilitate construction and protect the safety of park visitors,” the Parks and Recreation Department said in a statement.

“Areas of the park not impacted by the project will remain open during construction. Visitors are urged to exercise caution and avoid the areas of the park under construction.”

The work is expected to mostly be done by November, with final completion next spring.
