Jan. 28: South Dakota Film Community Meet-Up

Want to meet other film buffs? Backlot 605 and Downtown Sioux Falls Inc. are hosting a meet-up for those who enjoy cinema and filmmaking. You’ll discuss the current state of filmmaking and its future in South Dakota, meet new people and bond over a few drinks. The group will get together at 6 p.m. Friday at Full Circle Book Co-op, 123 W. 10th St.

Jan. 28-30: 2022 Boutique Crawl

Grab a group of friends and spend a few days shopping at some of the Sioux Falls area’s local boutiques. Thirteen boutiques have come together to facilitate three days of fun and deals. Visit any one of the participating boutiques Friday through Sunday to receive a “boutique passport.” Purchase an item at a participating boutique to receive a stamp. If you have eight or more stamps, you’ll be entered to win gift cards, and if you stamp all 13, you’ll be eligible to win a Louis Vuitton purse. For a full list of participating boutiques, click here.

Jan. 29: South Dakota Canoe & Kayak Annual Meeting

Gear up for spring – and canoe and kayak season – with the South Dakota Canoe & Kayak Annual Meeting. The meeting will be a full-day event with presentations from experts and members of the South Dakota Canoe & Kayak Association. The meeting will be “a great day to join or renew” membership to the association or just find out information about the canoeing and kayaking scene in Sioux Falls. The meeting will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Outdoor Campus, 4500 S. Oxbow Ave.

Jan. 29: Wine & Yoga

GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness is hosting a Wine & Yoga event for both members and nonmembers. The yoga will be a Vinyasa Flow class, and each participant will receive two drink tickets to redeem either before, during or after the class. The class will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday at Bakker Crossing Golf Course, 47172 S. Clubhouse Road. Tickets cost $15 for members and $20 for others. To register for the class, email [email protected].

Jan. 29: Pound + Pour at WoodGrain

Try a new form of working out: using drums. “Instead of listening to music, you become music” in this fast-paced, intense workout class. You’ll learn to use lightweight drumsticks called Ripstix while participating in yoga and pilates-inspired workouts. The class will take place at WoodGrain Brewing Co., with a Pound-inspired beverage available for purchase after the class. The class will cost $10 and start at 11 a.m. Saturday at the brewery, 101 S. Phillips Ave. To register for the class, click here. WoodGrain Brewing Co.

There will be an art show and auction Saturday to support Emily’s Hope  at the Washington Pavilion.
