Jan. 16: Jazz, blues and Broadway
The Washington Pavilion’s Live & Local series will present The Good Night Theatre Collective and Fellowship Jazz Center at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Belbas Theater. Two local performing arts organizations come together for a cabaret experience featuring vocalists from The Good Night Theatre Collective and musicians from the Fellowship Jazz Center. The performance will blend the best of jazz, blues and Broadway-style vocals. Tickets are $20, and you can purchase them here.

Jan. 17-20: Crazy Days
Shop and stroll for four days as downtown Sioux Falls celebrates Winter Crazy Days. Local shops, boutiques and retail stores will offer unique and handcrafted items from 6 a.m. Friday to 9 p.m. Monday. And don’t forget — the 12th annual Downtown Burger Battle runs through the end of the month.

Jan. 17: Solo art show
The Center for Western Studies, 2121 S. Summit Ave. on the Augustana University campus, will welcome its newest exhibit, “Dazzling Dakota,” with an opening artist reception Friday. The event will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with remarks from artist Mecca Rutherford at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Rutherford creates large-scale oil paintings that capture of beauty of South Dakota’s landscapes.

Jan. 18: Makers market
Serendipity Studio will host The Atrium Makers Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Shriver Square, 230 S. Phillips Ave. The indoor market will be filled with handmade jewelry, pottery, textiles, art pieces that include photography and sculptures, and one-of-a-kind treasures crafted by local artists and crafters. Admission is free.

Jan. 22: Winter Pride
Sioux Empire Pride Sports Association and Sioux Falls Pride will offer an evening of fun starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lucky’s Downtown, 224 S. Phillips Ave. SEPSA will cover pool table fees from 7 to 10 p.m. A open mic begins at 8 p.m., with karaoke at 10 p.m. Lucky’s will offer drink specials. Pizzas will be sold, or customers can have food delivered.

Jan. 22-24: Sioux Falls Farm Show
The 2025 Sioux Falls Farm Show will take place at the Denny Sanford Premier Center from Wednesday through Jan. 24, bringing together more than 330 exhibitors and showcasing more than 1,000 agricultural products and services. One of the largest agricultural trade shows in the region, exhibits will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, with free coffee and rolls served from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the Sioux Falls Arena. Admission, parking and seminars are free.
