Aug. 26: Saved by the Bell at Icon Event Hall

Sign us up for this one: The Improv Falls team takes on the classic sitcom “Saved by the Bell” with this performance at Icon Event Hall.

Check out their hilarious spin on it from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday. at Icon, 402 N. Main Ave. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Aug. 26: Tell Us Your Story

Here’s an event that’s sure to be as fascinating as it is unpredictable: Tell Us Your Story at the Full Circle Book Co-op will take place on Friday. What is Tell Us Your Story? It’s an open-mic storytelling event, where you’ll be given the floor for five minutes to tell any story you like: inspiring, funny or mundane. Or, if you’re only into listening, you can spend the evening hearing stories from dozens of people. Storytelling will begin at 8 p.m., going until late. Drinks will be available for purchase during the event, and the Full Circle Book Co-op is located at 123 W. 10th St.

Aug. 27: Bronze Paw Prints & Bling Workshop

Drop by BronzeAge Art Casting from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday during Falls Art Market, and capture your pup’s print in forever bronze. After pressing your dog’s paw into soft wax, BronzeAge will use lost-wax casting and molten bronze to replicate the print.

It’s $39 for the print, which can be picked up in three to four weeks, plus there are take-home kits available for at-home dogs.

You also can make thumbprints or fingerprints into a bronze pendant or worry “stone.” Bronze bling and bronze tile workshops will be running that day too. The foundry is at 1110 N. Weber Ave.

Aug. 27: That Sounds Decent

That Sounds Decent 2022 will take place Saturday, featuring musical guests such as Juke the Tiger, Later Babe, Sun Daze and James1stgen. There also will be a special performance from Headlights Theater.

The music festival will take place at 8th & Railroad Center from 3 to 11:30 p.m. and is free and suitable for all ages. Food and drinks will be served at the event by PAve, which also will host an afterparty at the bar at 130 S. Phillips Ave. For a full list of performers, click here.

Aug. 27: TrailFest

The Sioux Falls Area Running Club is hosting a trail running series to encourage kids to get outside. Open to those elementary school-age and younger, the Kids Trail Run Series will kick off Saturday with Trail Fest. This free 1-mile trail race will begin about 10 a.m. at Tuthill Park. Parents are encouraged to participate in the race with their children. Kids who complete both races of the series — the second of which will take place in September — will earn attendance to a celebration at Crawford’s, which will include a free meal. Aug. 28: A Visual Feast

Look’s Marketplace will host its inaugural art show Sunday. A Visual Feast will feature artists of all mediums, and here’s the fun part: They are all employed at Look’s Marketplace. You’ll see live musicians, painters, photographers and much more. The show will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. on the east patio and is suitable for all ages and free to attend. Regular restaurant hours as well as marketplace hours will take place during the show. Look’s is at 500 E. 69th St.

Aug. 28: Yoga Before Brunch

Get your sweat on before a Sunday tradition: DaDa Gastropub, 402 N. Main Ave., is hosting a yoga class before brunch is served Sunday. Taught by Rachel Smith, the class will run from 10 to 11 a.m., with brunch to follow. The ticket to the class will include a free mimosa during brunch. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased here. DaDa’s regular brunch menu will be served.
