Country music star Chris Lane will ride with the replica of Mount Rushmore as South Dakota once again will appear in the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The South Dakota Department of Tourism sponsors the float to drive new and repeat visitors while growing awareness of the state.

“Partnerships with brands like Macy’s provide an opportunity for South Dakota to gain valuable recognition from potential visitors across the nation as well as with international  visitors,” Tourism Secretary Jim Hagen said in a statement. “It is an honor for South Dakota to be a part of this great American tradition.”

Country artist Chris Lane has released a number of  Billboard top hits, including three No. 1 songs: “Fix,” ”I Don’t Know About You” and “Big, Big Plans.” Lane also has opened for artists such as Chris Young, Eli Young Band and Florida Georgia Line.

The parade also features 15 giant character balloons, 28 floats, 36 novelty and heritage inflatables, numerous performances and Santa Claus.

Watch it on NBC between 9 a.m. and noon Thursday.
