Amazing things happen in our schools every day — if you know where to look! Do you know some school news others would love? Let us know at [email protected].

Looks like a great show! O’Gorman High School’s musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” wrapped up its four-day run Saturday.

The Book Battle was on and fifth graders at John Harris Elementary edged out Harvey Dunn Elementary.

What a delicious partnership! Cherry Rock Farms partners with the Brandon Valley School District to provide produce. Last week, gardeners came to Fred Assam Elementary to give fourth grade students a short lesson on growing plants. Each student planted six seeds and will care for their plants for 10 days at school — and then harvest them to taste these microgreens that will taste like peas.

Hundreds of kids and families celebrated together for Terry Redlin Elementary’s Multicultural Night.

Multicultural Night also was a success at Lowell Elementary as families shared traditions, foods and artifacts.

What a fun day for these Garfield Elementary fifth grade students as the Promising Futures Fund sent them to Omaha for a day at the zoo.

And finally, kindergarteners at St. Lambert Elementary pitched in for an Earth Day cleanup. “Best day ever,” one of them said.
