The Sioux Falls School District has a new, easier way to keep up with your kids’ activities. A page on the district’s website links to a collective activity schedule for each middle school and high school. Click here to see it.

R.F. Pettigrew Elementary third graders took their annual trail ride last week. Classrooms learned about and reenacted the Oregon Trail events as well as traded supplies and food with each other.

Future construction workers at Sioux Falls Lutheran School!

Kindergartners at Discovery Elementary had  special visitors in honor of Veterans Day.

And these Patrick Henry Middle School students found a meaningful way to say thank you for military service.

In honor of the 50th day of school, they broke out the 1950s attire at John Harris Elementary.

The fourth graders voted on pizzas this Election Day at St. Lambert Elementary. It was close, but cheese edged out pepperoni and sausage.

And they sported red, white and blue at Terry Redlin Elementary.

Kindergartners tackled shapes at Eugene Field Elementary with a fun 2D approach this week.

And finally, the nonprofit The Promising Futures Fund, with help from several sponsors, provided 1,850 first and second graders with a time to remember at the Washington Pavilion. The performers from “Winnie the Pooh” said it was the largest crowd for any performance!
