Congratulations to Daniel Fischer, principal at Discovery Elementary and winner of the South Dakota Administrator Advocacy Award.

- Supports the development, implementation and continuation of a comprehensive school counseling program.
- Demonstrates an understanding of a comprehensive school counseling program as a resource to all families.
- Works collaboratively with school counselors to provide support and insight regarding all student needs and welfare.
- Sees the school counselor as a valuable resource, and helps advocate on behalf of the school counselor and comprehensive school counseling program.
Can you believe middle school students drew these? Nice work, Ben Reifel Middle School.
What a great game at Jefferson High School: “Best Buddies” basketball.
These are some young green thumbs at Eugene Field Elementary as kindergartners completed their life science unit by decorating biodegradable pots and planting bean seeds! That’s what you call art meets science.
Meet the entrepreneurs of George McGovern Middle School. For “market day,” they sold scented slime, beadwork creations, Chinese food and cupcakes.
Who else remembers this moment in school? St. Lambert Elementary fourth graders tried their hand at different instruments in preparation for joining band as fifth graders.
And speaking of band, the Washington High School band headed to Orlando! We’re trying not to be jealous.
