Construction season is here, so we’re giving you a weekly look at what projects are done, where you’ll find traffic impacts and what’s scheduled next.

What’s done

It’s a big one! Work at the intersection of 33rd Street and Minnesota Avenue is complete.

All lanes are now open to traffic. There might be periodic lane closures yet this fall for some final cleanup work.

As a reminder, this intersection was completely reconstructed with new utilities and pavement. Plus, additional work was done at 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 28th and 31st streets.

What’s next

The passing lane on southbound Interstate 229 will be closed between Western and Louise avenues beginning at 6 a.m. today, and work is expected to be done late today.

The northbound offramp from I-229 to Louise Avenue will be closed tonight and Tuesday morning.

Work will be occurring in the intersection of 26th Street and Marion Road starting today. Lane closures will be in place, but at least one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times. Work should be done by the end of the week.

Work will occurring in the intersection of 26th and Sertoma Avenue starting today. Lane closures will be in place, but at least one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times.  Work should be done by the end of the week.
